FAQ
Local features (convert, trim, extract audio, add watermark, denoise local, vocal separation local) run entirely in your browser — no upload needed. Cloud features (watermark removal, denoise cloud, vocal separation cloud, subtitle generation, cloud convert) upload files to GPU servers for processing. Source files are deleted immediately. Output files are kept for 7 days, then auto-deleted. Cloud features require login. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Source files uploaded for cloud processing are deleted immediately after processing completes. Output files stay downloadable for 7 days, then auto-delete — and you can delete them anytime from your Task History. Local processing never uploads anything.
Input — reads virtually any format: MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM, MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC, Opus, AAC, AIFF and more. Output — converts to: MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV (video) / MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, FLAC (audio). You can also extract audio from video files.
Files up to 500MB are supported. For best performance, we recommend files under 200MB. Larger files may require more memory.
Limits vary by feature and are shown before you submit. Cloud AI processing (e.g. video enhancement) has duration caps per model and output resolution so jobs finish within a predictable time — the page tells you the maximum supported duration for your chosen settings.
Local features (convert, trim, extract audio, add watermark, local denoise, local vocal separation) are completely free and unlimited. Cloud features are billed per second of media processed — the estimated credit cost is always shown before you submit, and billing settles on the actual duration after processing.
Credits are valid for 365 days after purchase. Within 30 days of purchase you can request a prorated refund for unused credits; a processing fee applies (10% for Starter/Basic, 8% for Standard). Contact us via the support email listed on the pricing page.
Processing speed depends on your device. Large files with high resolution will take longer. On mobile devices, processing may be slower.
Chrome and Edge provide the best experience with multi-threaded processing. Other browsers use single-threaded mode which is slightly slower.
Local features are available without an account — just open your browser and start. Cloud features (watermark removal, subtitle generation, and cloud processing) require login and credits.
Yes, Formavide works on mobile browsers. Processing may be slower than on desktop due to device limitations.
After the initial page load, most features work without an internet connection since processing is local.
Yes. Upload a video, then choose an image (PNG/JPG/WebP) or enter text as a watermark. You can adjust size, opacity, rotation (for text), and select multiple positions at once. In single-position mode, you can drag the watermark on the preview to place it precisely. All processing is done in your browser.
Yes. Upload a video (MP4/AVI/MOV/MKV), drag a selection box over the watermark area, and the tool will remove it. Video watermark removal uses secure GPU cloud processing (STTN AI model) for best quality. Results are available in a few minutes and files are automatically deleted after processing.
Two modes available. Local mode: uses Spleeter AI (2-stems, ~30MB model) or Demucs AI (4-stems, ~173MB model) running in your browser via ONNX Runtime — your audio never leaves your device. Cloud mode: uses Demucs AI on GPU servers for faster processing with 2/4/6 stems, automatically deleted after processing.
