Trim vs. cut vs. crop — what is the difference?
- Trimming— keeps a start-to-end selection and drops the rest — shortening the ends of a clip.

Does trimming reduce video quality?
In Lossless mode, never — the video stream is copied byte-for-byte, identical to the original. Precise mode re-encodes your selection once; at the High setting the difference is effectively invisible for most footage.
Can I cut at an exact frame?
Yes — switch to Precise mode. It re-encodes the selection so the cut lands exactly where you set it. The Lossless stream-copy mode snaps to the nearest keyframe, up to a couple of seconds off; that is a constraint of the video format itself, not of this tool — which is exactly why both modes exist.
How large a video can I trim?
Up to 1.5 GB, with output segments up to 2 hours on desktop browsers. Because nothing uploads, your network speed is never the bottleneck — your device is, so very large files do best in a desktop browser.
